Though when we planned to start this blog, we intended for it to be based on magazine ads, but in reality, advertising is all around us. In addition to that, we are constantly multitasking. Emailing while listening to music; watching TV and writing a paper; texting while in class; or talking on the phone while blogging. In this digital crazed fragmented world, advertisers have had to be more creative in their media selections, budgeting, and in the actual ads...and then there is YouTube.

- Prada Trembled Blossoms
Though it was in Spring 2008, one of my favorite ads posted on youtube was
---------
- The Row
Another favorite of mine from a previous season was a video showing the new line of Mary-Kate and Ashley's "The Row" I thought it was a unique way to show their latest collection without sitting through a whole fashion show...it's also less expensive to do.

- Tipp-Ex
Having nothing to do with fashion, this is one of the most brilliant ads I've seen in a while. It is simple, and uses the existing window of youtube.
With almost 18 million views in a little over a year, I think this ad was very successful.

- 100 years of Fashion
And onto this season, in an email I got from a professor, I saw this cute sequence...through reading the comments posted, I realized that during the 40's sequence, the guy leaves the screen because he went off to war.

Lanvin Photoshoot
Not only does this youtube video show you how they got the different shots for the current FW 2011 ads, it also creates humor and brings youth into the brand.
In response to this video, David Sherwin did a GREAT video during New York Fashion Week
NYFW Spring 2012 from David Sherwin on Vimeo.

Here Comes the Beauty Pack - Chanel
Adorable and creative.
----------
- Shade Parade - Chanel Nail Polish
Finally is my favorite thus far having to do with fashion...
